Text of Proposal:

This proposal will be discussed, consensed on, and/or rejected by October 19, 2005 at noon.

• Seeing as the Clark County Greens are still in the process of reforming;
• Seeing as state and federal office holders from other state political parties have already contributed to the vegascommunityonline.com website in the October Column;
• Seeing as the Green Party of Nevada Bylaws (Article III, Section B.4.c.) state that the Green Party of Nevada Executive Council is empowered "to make public statements regarding the Party's position on issues";
• Seeing as the column on vegascommunityonline.com will be entitled "Political Parties" and these essays will be written from each political party in Nevada;

I propose that the Green Party of Nevada Executive Council appoint and come to consensus on one or two people (or one or two people can volunteer and consensus can be reached), with at least one of these two people being an officer of the Green Party of Nevada Executive Council, to form a Public Relations committee that will be responsible for collaborating on writing an essay about a topic of the Public Relations committee's choice and submitting that essay to the Green Party of Nevada Executive Council by October 20, 2005 (and by the 20th of every month thereafter);

The Green Party of Nevada Executive Council will then revise and edit the essay as necessary by October 22, 2005 (and on the 22nd of each month thereafter) and empower the Secretary of the Green Party of Nevada to submit the essay to vegascommunityonline.com, the Las Vegas Independent Media Center at lvimc.org, and the Reno Independent Media Center at remoimc.org on or before October 23, 2005 (and on or by the 23rd of each month thereafter).

Furthermore, the Public Relations committee, the Green Party of Nevada Executive Council, and the Secretary of the Green Party of Nevada will continue this pattern every month, making changes to the exact deadlines as needed.

Upon consensus of this proposal, the Secretary of the Green Party of Nevada will contact the publisher of vegascommunityonline.com and notify the publisher of our participation and plans to get the essay submitted by October 23, 2005 and by the 23rd of each month thereafter.
